Micro/Infill Housing

rePLACE is working to alleviate our nationwide housing crisis by deploying easy to build, naturally-affordable homes that can infill vacant lots and re-densify our urban centers. This version is designed to inhabit existing parking lots, spanning over parking spaces while land owners wait for the right market conditions to build more permanent housing.

Proposed Housing

Temporary structures (top edge) form a street-wall between parking lot and sidewalk with 15 dwelling units (400 square feet each), while 5 permanent dwelling units (800 square feet each) form a pedestrian alleyway (or "mews").
