rePLACE Urban Studio was commissioned by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to analyze the potential for implementing "live-work" typologies in New York City.
The team investigated over 50 projects that demonstrated "live-work" characteristics, and ranged in scale from small townhouses, to large mixed-use building, to entire districts.

This report was completed for the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). Our team focused on six distinct live-work typologies, from mixed-use townhouses to entire districts. We researched precedents across several other cities, then studied how to implement the typologies in NYC using five neighborhoods as test fits.
